€ 70,000 raised for Beaucaire victims

The League and the Rugby Federations launched a solidarity campaign to collect money to support the families of victims of the crash involving Beaucaire club supporters.

The bus accident, which occurred during the night of May 26 to 27, was on the return of the semi-final between the Racing 92 and Castres Olympic held in Lyon. Three supporters died, and several were injured.

Almost €70 000 has already been collected on the Okpal website, via the hashtag # solidaritybeaucaire, it allows everyone to make a donation on the internet. "The whole rugby family has been upset by this tragedy," said the NRL.

To initiate this solidarity collection, the two bodies each donated € 25,000, to encourage solidarity and mutual aid, "Values ​​strongly rooted in rugby culture."
