11,000 runners in the Millau Viaduct race

11,000 runners lined up the start of the fifth edition of the Millau Viaduct race in Aveyron on Sunday.

No less than 49 nationalities were represented.

The first runner took one hour and twenty minutes to complete the 23.7 kilometre course. The last runner in was just over the four hour mark.

With 390 m of elevation gain and 23.7 km of total distance, the race is known more for being on the highest road bridge in the world.
