153 people confined after a gas leak in Sète
On Friday at noon, there was a huge gas leak next to the Hélène-Boucher school near the Boulevard de Verdun in Sète.
While firefighters dealt with the problem, as a precaution they confined 153 people in their buildings, including 66 children and 10 teachers from the school. They also closed the boulevard de Verdun to stop traffic approaching the gas leak.
By 2pm on Friday, firefighters confirmed that the leak was contained, and the people were free to leave their confines.
