18,000 people for I love Techno in Montpellier

MidiLibre/Scoop, Dec 16

The I Love Techno electro music festival brought together nearly 18,000 people in Montpellier this Saturday. The numbers were down on last year, due to the blockages by the gilets jaunes.

It’s one of the biggest festivals in Europe for electro music lovers. The festival was held at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier, with 19 DJs in four different halls.

For 12 hours from 6 pm to 6 am, the 19 biggest DJs in the world mixed on the four stages at the festival, including (apparantly) famous French DJs Laurent Garnier, and Charlotte de Witte.

Last year 23,000 people attended, and the organisers expected more this year. Blame was attributed to the gilets jaunes who were doing their best to block access.
