4 people rescued from a rock by helicopter

France 3/Scoop, Apr 22

A rescue operation was launched on Saturday between 7:30pm and 8pm. Four people, including a four year old child, were stuck on a rock in the middle of Gardon Collias, a few kilometres from the Pont du Gard. It took more than three hours to hoist them to the shore.

They were stuck on the rock because the strong current prevented them from reaching the shoreline.

15 people were involved in the operation. The four victims were safely airlifted away from the dangerous point. They were suffering from mild hypothermia.
