Languedoc's Events Calendar
What's on in Languedoc?
Welcome to Languedoc's most comprehensive calendar of events - in partnership with Blablablah... newspaper.
This month's Pick Of The Crop
Louise HurrenWe've also invited Languedoc resident and writer Louise Hurren to flag up each month those events she thinks could prove most interesting - everything from The Rugby World Club to Wild Boar festivals.

BOUZIGUES – AND A BALSA-WOOD BOX OF VIAGRA TO GO, PLEASE

Even if you’re not crazy about seafood, Bouzigues is worth a visit this month (or indeed, later in the year). There’s a brocante (bric-a-brac) sale happening on the promenade des Beauces on Easter Monday (March 24, and again on Monday May 12), from 8am – 6 pm, admission free.

Other dates for your diary are Thursday May 1, when Les Floralies de Bouzigues – a plant and flower market - takes over the gardens of the Mairie, heralding the advent of spring. Mid-April sees the Salon de la Gastronomie Ostréicole et des Sites Remarquables du Gout Français, which is a long-winded way of saying ‘a big song and dance about oysters’, the Saint Pierre festival on the first Sunday in June commemorates fishermen who have died at sea, the last weekend of July is the knees-up in honour of Saint Jacques (patron saint of Bouzigues), and the first weekend of August is the Foire aux Huîtres et Autres Produits du Terroir (a big song and dance about oysters and other local produce).
