Albanian squat evacuated in Montpellier

MidiLibre/Scoop, Nov 13

A large police operation was in place on Tuesday evening, in Montpellier city centre between Saint-Roch station, Gambetta and place Molière.

The national and municipal police as well as Suge were all involved.

At Gambetta, drug trafficking and the sale of particularly dangerous laced cigarettes were being targeted. The squat at the Protestant temple occupied by Albanians was evacuated, and drugs were seized.

At the same time, the security forces carried out checks around the Saint-Roch station and towards the Comédie and Place Molière, where a knife attack recently took place between two people under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
