Appeal for witnesses

France 3/Scoop, Apr 10

Five years after Julie Michel’s disappearance in Ariège, her family have launched an appeal for witnesses.

Years after the mysterious disappearance of the young woman at the Col de Port-De-Lers in Ariège, her family have not lose hope.

The 27-year-old was last seen near her car in the Port-De-Lers car park on July 19, 2013.

In early August 2013, her car was found in the parking lot of the Port of Lhers, at 1,500 metres above sea level, between Foix and Saint-Girons, with locked doors, and personal effects inside, including her mobile phone.

Members of the family, originally from Auxerre in the Yonne, have never stopped looking for Julie. Recently, some testimonies have indicated possibilities in the Toulouse region, hence this call for witnesses. If you recognise Julie, or you have information about her travels five years ago, please contact the gendarmerie at Saint-Girons on 05 34 14 33 30.
