Aude man caught doing nearly 200 km/h in a 90 zone
This weekend, a 29-year-old man was caught on the RD33 in Sainte Eulalie, near Carcassonne, travelling at over 190 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
He did not have a driver’s licence or insurance, and he was driving under the influence of drugs. He was driving his mother-in-law’s car, and is now in custody.
This weekend, the Aude police stopped three drivers at a speed of 50 km / h beyond that allowed, an additional 74 drivers for speeding, 24 for use of the phone or headset whilst driving, and 12 for not wearing seatbelt. A total of 183 offences were logged.
