Aude Regional Councilor Mylène Vesentini dies

The regional councilor Mylène Vesentini and her husband died this Sunday in a car accident in Moux, Aude.

According to information from the newspaper l'Indépendant, Mylène Vesentini was riding a motorcycle with her husband on Sunday morning on the RD6113 at Moux in the Aude when they were hit by a car.

Mylène Vesentini was a former councilor in Carcassonne, departmental co-secretary of the PCF and regional councillor for Occitanie.

Carole Delga, President of the Region reacted to her death in a statement “I learned with sadness of the death of Mylène Vesentini and her husband, in a tragic road accident. She was elected in 2015…Mylène was fully committed to the success of our regional project and to the Aude, her territory that she has always defended tooth and nail….Mylène Vesentini will be missed by the Occitanie Region…my deepest condolences.”
