MidiLibre/Scoop, May 18

On Wednesday morning at 2:30am in Montpellier, a couple were beaten up for refusing to share their pizza.

The couple were both enjoying a pizza near the Observatoire tram stop, when four individuals came up to them and asked them for the pizza. The couple refused, and then they were attacked by the men, who ‘rained blows upon them’ according to the police report.

After the beating, the couple went to the police, and the four men were promptly arrested, thanks to video surveillance proof. Two of the suspects, aged 37 and 21, were finally released, but their two companions, aged 32 and 23 will be prosecuted.
