Beille ski resort opens this Wednesday
Located near Toulouse (1h30), 1800 metres above sea level, the ski station Beille opened this Wednesday, as 70 cm of snow fell this weekend.
Most of the ski runs are now usable, and on Friday, the occasion of the celebrations of the Inmaculada Concepción, the Spanish clientele should arrive in force.

All along the way, the landscape, vegetation and wildlife change.
Between Toulouse and Foix, the oak tree dominates, then the beech trees appear above Tarascon. On arrival into Beille, you can find birch, pine, callune and rhododendron. The succession of these plants is exactly the same as when one crosses Europe from south to north. Similarly, the white partridge found in Finestre, south of the Beille plateau, have "close cousins" in Lapland, in the Arctic Circle!
