Book about policeman who died at the Trèbes attack

France 3/Scoop, Jun 24

A book has been written about the last few hours in the life of Colonel Arnaud Beltrame, who died in March during the attack on a Trèbes supermarket.

Two journalists have retraced his last few hours, before he selflessly swapped himself into a hostage situation, and was subsequently shot by the terrorist.

In the book “Arnaud Beltrame, le héros dont la France a besoin”, released June 20, journalists Jacques Duplessy and Benoît Leprince explain the events which lead up to the attack, they delve into his spiritual journey and his exemplary military career. The book offers some keys to understand why he gave his own life up to save others.
