Boy nearly disembowels himself with bay window

An eight year old boy was seriously injured in an accident at home, when he ran into a bay window.

The boy was at home on chemin de la Maïre in Sérignan. He ran into the window, and suffered a very serious stomach injury when the glass broke.

Sérignan fire-fighters transferred him to the University hospital in Montpellier by helicopter for some emergency treatment.

Due to the speedy actions of the emergency team, the boy’s injuries are no longer life threatening.
