Campsites evacuated in Agde

More than 3,000m² of vegetation burned in a fire at Mont Saint Loup, in Agde, Hérault, and two campsites were evacuated. An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the fire.

With the help of 40 firefighters, and three fire planes, the fire was controlled within the hour.

A total of 3,000 m² of vegetation burned and the La Pinède and Bastide campsites were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Occupants were able to return to their campsites at the end of the afternoon.
