Car plunges into neighbour’s swimming pool

France 3/Scoop, Nov 30

In Pont-Saint-Esprit, Gard, a driver was trying to avoid a police check on a road near his home.

The driver was drunk, and he took a small side road to avoid the police, to try to get home undetected. Unfortunately for his neighbour, the driver misjudged the road, and he drove into his neighbour’s garden, and straight into his swimming pool.

The driver managed to get out of his car unharmed, but he now faces an expensive bill from his neighbour, and a police charge of drinking and driving.
