Carcassonne station corpse identified

France 3/Scoop, Jan 11

On Monday, the body of a partially naked woman was found near Carcassonne station. The police now know that she is a 61 year old woman who lived in the hamlet of Montredon. The autopsy of the body will be carried out on Thursday afternoon.

It was due to her bank card, found along the rails a few metres from the body, that the police were able to identify her. Retired, divorced, with no children, she was seen alive for the last time on January 7.

The autopsy of the body will be carried out on Thursday afternoon. No hypothesis is being suggested by the public prosecutor who opened an investigation for the cause of death.
