Catalan Dragons report

LanguedocLiving, Apr 8

By Jake Hazell

The Dragons first half versus Wigan Warriors on Saturday at Gilbert Brutus was unbelievable, two tries, a penalty and a drop goal put the Catalan Dragons 15-0 in the lead at half time.

They went into the game having beaten Huddersfield on Easter Monday, but were facing a team second in the league who appeared to score the first try, later disallowed.

David Mead ran the length of the pitch to score after intercepting the ball. Two minutes into the second half, a try by Garcia made us Catalan supporters elated with a score of 21-0.

Unfortunately, from then on it was a walk over by Wigan. Tries, penalties given away, weak defence and a yellow card for Simon. It has to be said there were some doubtful refereeing decisions.

The Indépendant newspaper quotes “complètement craqué sur la fin de la rencontre”.
