Collection Céres Franco
In the Aude, the exhibition "L'international des visionnaires" brings together works of contemporary art by Cérès Franco. This Brazilian collector wants to share her passion with lots of visitors in the old Montolieu wine cooperative.
The former Montolieu wine cooperative of, transformed into an art centre in 2008, is hosting an exhibition entitled “L’international des visionaries” presenting 300 works of the Cérès Franco collection (art critic and Brazilian gallery owner installed in France since the 50’s).
Its objective is to permanently house the main collection, to organise temporary exhibitions in resonance with this collection, and to initiate a dialogue with other artists of the international scene. All of its activities are also part of the cultural dynamics of Montolieu Village du Livre.
The exhibition of the Ceres collection will be complemented by works from Daniel Cordier, gallery owner and collector, on loan since 1999 at the Abattoirs of Toulouse.
The exhibition will last from 29 April to 5 November.
Last season, the cooperative welcomed 5,000 visitors. They hope by the end of the year to reach 7,000 enthusiasts.
