Danger money for motorway staff?

France 3/Scoop, Apr 7

Two motorway safety vehicles were hit in Occitanie, on the A9 and the A64.

Of the 5 Vinci Autoroutes vehicles hit in the country during the last 48 hours, two were in our region.

On Tuesday, April 4, at about 5:45 pm, a truck violently hit a vehicle which had just installed beacon cones to safeguard a heavy truck on the A9 between Narbonne and Béziers. Fortunately, the employee was safely away from the vehicle, but it could have been a different story. The vehicle was destroyed.

The next day, another employee was less fortunate. While on the A64 in Haute-Garonne between Boussens and Saint-Martory, his vehicle was struck by a car. He was slightly injured and badly shocked, according to Vinci Autoroutes, his employer.
