Deadly chainsaw accident near Montpellier

It’s a timely reminder for those of you who cut your own wood for the winter. Chainsaws can be deadly.

On Saturday morning, a 57 year old man died while handling his chainsaw in Saint-Jean de Védas.

The man was mortally wounded while he was half way up a tree, and despite the rapid intervention of firefighters, the man was declared dead at the scene.

His wife was taken to hospital in shock.
