Discovery of drug trafficking from Béziers prison

From his cell in Béziers prison, a man organised a drug dealing business. Four of his accomplices were arrested and imprisoned, after the seizure of €18,000 and cannabis.

The prisoner organised the drug trafficking around Florensac, from his cell.

"The police were able to demonstrate the existence of a network of acquisition and resale of narcotics directed from the prison by an inmate," the statement said on Friday.

"The prisoner, in regular telephone contact with his sister living in Florensac, gave her instructions, with the complicity of family members, mainly in the commune of Florensac, "added the police.

A total of 11 people were arrested during the investigation, and have been charged and placed in pre-trial detention.
