Driver shot at by terrorist is out of a coma

LanguedocLiving, Apr 5

The man who was driving a car in Carcasonne with a passenger by his side, when the terrorist Radouane Lakdim fired at them, is now out of a coma.

According to Christian Raynaud , the mayor of Villemoustaussou where the victim lives, the young man came out of his coma on Monday. He is still in hospital in Perpignan, where he is waiting for an operation to extract the bullet. The victim was luckier than his passenger, Jean Mazières, a retired winemaker, who was killed in the attack.

Christian Raynaud went on to say “I had his father on the phone, he told me that his son had opened his eyes. He recognised his parents, but he does not know what happened."
