Drunkard creates seven metre high geyser

MidiLibre/Scoop, Jan 28

Police were stopping drivers near the exit of a night club in Castelnau-le-Lez on Sunday morning between 4am and 6am. Nearly 300 cars were stopped and the drivers were checked and breathalysed.

One particular driver panicked, and fled the scene without stopping. Pursued by the police, the driver hit a fire hydrant and caused a seven metre high geyser.

The driver was eventually charged with eight separate misdemeanours, and an immediate licence withdrawal.
