Epileptic man tumbles into river Lot
A 28-year-old man had an epileptic seizure as he was walking along the river Lot. He fell into the river half-unconscious, but he was rescued by witnesses at the scene.
As he was walking along the banks of the Lot, at the Cabdessut bridge in Cahors, the 28-year-old man had a violent epileptic fit, which caused him to fall several metres into the river below. Luckily he was spotted by passersby, and they jumped in to rescue him. By the time the firefighters arrived, the man had regained consciousness, and he had been dragged out of the water.
The man was taken to Cahors hospital. He was shocked, but not seriously injured. He owes his life to the passersby who rescued him.
