Explosives discovered in Alès turned out to be fireworks

On Friday, in the middle of the Feria in Alès arena, bags of grey powder were discovered in the building. The bags were suspended by electrical wire, just behind the doors of the ‘toril’ - the place where the bull is locked before entering the arena.
The Camargue race was cancelled, and the arena was thoroughly searched.
After closer inspection though, the bag turned out to contain firework powder which was used last July as part of a musical event. Oops, the organiser of the July event said it ‘was an oversight’.
