Midi Cricket Club launches their season with a Family Day get-together.
The Languedoc’s only cricket club launched its 2016 season with a well-attended Family Day held at its St Pons de Mauchiens ground on Sunday 24 April.

Though the weather was cool and blustery, more than 60 players, family and friends turned out for a barbeque and a friendly all-comers’ cricket match on the village’s lovely ground.

The club, which plays in the Midi-Pyrenees Division of the National League, opens its 2016 campaign on Saturday, 7 May at home to Toulouse CC.

“The club always makes touring teams very welcome and they appreciate our hospitality,” said Club President Marc Dalling. “We also had two very competitive matches against them.”
