Fire at Saint-Etienne-d'Albagnan, l’Hérault

In less than an hour, the fire that broke out in Saint-Etienne-d'Albagnan, in the Hauts-Cantons, spread over several hectares. An isolated farm has been evacuated, 100 firefighters were called out, and two fire planes were on the scene on Sunday afternoon.

Several hectares were burnt in the fire near the small village near Olargues, and there was a risk of a farm being engulfed in flames. The Dausse farm, which produces chestnuts, is in an isolated wooded area, and the inhabitants were evacuated. 

It is not yet known what caused the fire, but the firefighters have brought it under control.
