Four day week for school kids in the Tarn!

MidiLibre/Scoop, Jun 21

In Saint-Juéry, in the Tarn, parents voted for a four day week for school children.

In another two weeks, the school year will be over. After the summer holidays, there will be no more Wednesdays in front of the blackboard. At the beginning of the school year, students from a Saint-Juéry school will be in class only four days a week.

The municipality of Saint-Juéry will be offering extracurricular activities on Wednesdays. In a region known for low academic performance levels, it seems extraordinary to be cutting back on education even more.
