Girl hurt from acid attack on Nimeño II in Nîmes

France 3/Scoop, May 5

A family, who visited Nîmes on Saturday have lodged a complaint against the city.

Leaning against the statue of Nimeño II to be photographed, the family’s little girl was burned on her feet and legs. The weekend ended in the emergency hospital.

As reported this week, Nimeño 2 was once again the target of an acid attack on Saturday, while the Great Roman Games took place.

The family from Saint Etienne were attending the spectacle in the arena, and were unlucky enough to lean on the statue right after the acid attack.

The perpetrator hasn't been found yet.  According to France Bleu, the images of the video-protection camera on the forecourt of the arena are unusable.

Nevertheless, the police are examining all the images, because the perpetrator(s) of the malicious act seemed to appear on other cameras just after the event.
