Green light for new Occitanie TGV lines!

LanguedocLiving, Sep 12

The government has approved five new TGV train lines this week, in a project costing €13 billion over the next five years.  Here's how it will affect us:

The lines are being upgraded and expanded, so that when they are complete, it will be possible to travel from Paris to Toulouse in 3 hours and 10 minutes.

The Montpellier-Béziers section will be upgraded, so that the trains don’t have to slow down once they pass Montpellier. This will also reduce the time taken from Paris to Girona, Spain.

Marseille - Nice will have a high speed link.

Other changes planned are between Paris and Le Havre; CDG airport Roissy and Picardie; and the Paris - Limoges line will be improved.

Ouigo trains from Gare de Lyon in Paris will extend services to Marseille and the Côte d'Azur.
