Grisly find in Toulouse on a construction site

MidiLibre/Scoop, May 30

17 human skulls were found in a garbage bag by workers in Toulouse on a demolition site. They could be third century bones stolen in 2010 from the Faculty of Medicine of Toulouse.

The workers in the Saint Simon district in Toulouse discovered the bag on Tuesday afternoon when they took a ceiling down as part of a demolition project.

The police were called, and a connection was made with a burglary in February 2010 in the former faculty of medicine where skulls dated to the third century, found in Sudan, had been stolen.

The skulls have been placed under seal and will be inspected by specialists.
