Guy Combes, the former mayor of Valras-Plage dies

The former mayor of Valras-Plage, in the Hérault, died on Wednesday. He resigned from his job on May 28 for health reasons.

Mayor of the seaside resort of Valras-Plage since 2008, Guy Comes died of a long illness on Wednesday, August 1st.

Guy Combes was also Senior Vice President of Agglo Béziers-Méditerranée, a delegate for Tourism, and Port Management.

The President of the agglomeration, Frédéric Lacas, pays tribute to his colleague and friend.

"It is with great sadness and emotion that I announce the death of our Vice-President and friend Guy Combes, this Wednesday, August 1st.
Mayor of Valras-Plage since March 2008, he resigned from his position on May 28 to devote all his energy to the terrible fight he had been waging for several months…he was committed to the well-being of the inhabitants, he had a deep affection and attachment for his town and the agglomeration “.
