Horse rescued from a well in Frontignan

France 3/Scoop, Apr 29

On Friday, a horse fell into a well at Frontignan near Sète, Hérault. The well was full of water, and was around 4 metres deep.

Luckily, the horse was stuck in a sitting position and was not fully submerged.

Rescue services and a vet were called out, and the decision was made to knock the horse out with tranquillisers while they lifted him out with straps and a JCB.

After a few hairy moments, the horse was successfully pulled out of the well, and he regained consciousness. The lucky horse’s injuries were limited to a few scratches and bruises.
