Hérault & Gard firefighters dispatched to Sweden

The fire chief from Lodève, Hérault is in Sweden for a firefighting mission. The specialist in the field of tactical fires will help fight the fires that have been ravaging the south of the country for two weeks. Three civil security aircraft based in Nîmes-Garons have also left.

Commander Aurélien Manenc, has been sent to Sweden to advise on the tactics of putting out the fire.

Three civil security planes, including two Canadairs, took off from their base in Nimes-Garons heading towards Sweden. After a stop in the Netherlands to refuel, they landed on the Örebro airfield, 150 km west of Stockholm.

They are now engaged in the fight against the huge fire.
