Hérault man planned to sail to Syria with daughter

LanguedocLiving, Aug 7

News has emerged that a man from Hérault was planning to sail to Syria with his 10 year old daughter, to join jihadists there.

BFMTV reported today that the suspect was arrested at the end of May. At the time, police had decided not to release the news.

The man’s plan was well advanced. He had stocked up his boat with several week’s worth of food and water, and he had mapped out his route. His plan was foiled by the daughter’s mother, who went to the police to warn them.
