Huge agricultural building ravaged by a fire

France 3/Scoop, Oct 4

On Thursday mid afternoon, a fire started in an agricultural warehouse in Montbazin, near Mèze, in the Hérault. The building was totally destroyed and the fire, helped along by a strong wind, then spread to the scrubland.

Nearly 100 firefighters, fifteen ground vehicles and five Canadaair planes were on the scene.

The hanger, where farm equipment was stored, was over 1,000m2.

A sheepfold also had to be evacuated.

As at Thursday evening the fire was still burning.
