Huge rubber 'boudin' appears in Sète

MidiLibre/Scoop, Nov 13

A huge rubber ‘boudin’ was washed ashore in Sète, on the Lido beach to the right of Villeroy.

It was then moved by the strong winds towards the dunes.

According to authorities it is a defence to stop large ferries and ships damaging the ports, such as in Marseille or Toulon. The ‘boudin’ is 5m x 3m, and is much larger than those used in the port at Sète.

It was a striking image on a deserted beach today.
