Japanese winegrowers given another three months

LanguedocLiving, Jul 8

Some readers wrote in asking for the petition details of the Japanese wine growers from Banyuls-sur-mer who were facing deportation.

So far nearly 60,000 people have signed at the time of writing, and it appears to have had some effect.

They have won a stay of execution for the next three months, while officials said that they have decided to "reexamine the administrative status of Mr and Mrs Shoji", seeking more financial information on them.
