La Poste systems back after 'glitch'

LanguedocLiving, Apr 10

On Monday, a 'glitch' in La Poste computers paralysed 8,500 post offices across the country.

Customers were not able to send registered mail, deposit or withdraw money, buy envelopes, stamps, parcels or mobile phone packages.

Post office workers were greeted with blank screens when they tried to switch them on in the morning.

Eventually late afternoon on Monday the problem was resolved.

“It was a technical problem and not a cyber attack, nothing alarming,” said a spokesperson from La Poste.
