Man struck by lightning opening a bedroom window

A 36 year old man was struck by lightening on Sunday morning in Saint-Just, Hérault.

He was opening a window in his house at around 1am, when he was struck by lightening. He was thrown three metres into the room.

Conscious but in serious condition, the victim was transported to Lapeyronie University Hospital in Montpellier. He is no longer in intensive care, but he will remain under observation in hospital for a few more days.
