Mars is as close as it’s going to get until 2287
Look to the skies on Tuesday night / Wednesday morning, and you can hopefully see Mars as close as it’s going to get to us until 2287.
Apparently the best time to see it is around 4am Wednesday morning.
This is an exceptional event that astronomers have been waiting for 15 years to see. On Tuesday night Mars will appear bigger and brighter as it reaches its closest point to Earth.
The red planet will appear much brighter than usual and haloed with an orange or red haze. Its particular colour will be hard to miss in the night sky.
