Missing man found in Hérault river

Police have been looking for a Montpellier man who went missing on Wednesday from Bélarga, a town located between Gignac and Montagnac.

His identity papers, mobile pone and clothes were found by a fisherman on the banks of the Hérault river.

On Friday morning police found a body in the river, and after identification by the missing man's family, the body was confirmed as the missing man.

Police have opened up an investigation into the causes of death.
