Montpellier law students demonstrate to demand justice

France 3/Scoop, Apr 1

The students of the law faculty of Montpellier university have been demonstrating, demanding justice and truth for the victims of the violence that the students were subjected to on the 22 March. Masked men broke into the lecture theatre and hit students with sticks.

More than 400 students and parents of students were demonstrating this weekend.

A spokesperson for the demonstrators said “We are trying to ask for the suspension of the people who have been recognised as perpetrators. There is the dean and the former professor who have been indicted and suspended, but there are other people who have been formally recognised and who are not suspended and we refuse to resume classes as long as these people are free.”
