Nightmare roads this weekend
Expect some traffic nightmares this weekend. It’s July 14th and hundreds of thousands of motorists are expected on the roads.
Summer visitors will need a bit of patience to get to their holiday destination. Travel times will be extended.
The traffic will be heading this way on Friday 14th July, and it's expected to be unusually busy from 9h between Nîmes and Montpellier. A peak is expected around 2 pm.
The busiest day of course will be Saturday, July 15, between 10 am and 4 pm, especially on the A9, between Nimes and Montpellier. Drivers are advised to avoid driving between these time slots.
The A61 particularly between Carcassonne and Narbonne is often at a standstill at holiday times.
Holiday returns will also create very dense local motorway traffic on Sunday between 17h and 20h.
Calm your nerves, avoid road rage, and best of all, stay off the roads completely if you can!
