One of Jardin Saint-Adrien burglars released

France 3/Scoop, Jul 2

The Jardin Saint Adrien in Servian, Hérault welcomes many visitors every year. Since November 2017 a cloud has been hanging over the Jardin, after the deadly burglary.

Jean-Pierre Bruno, a man from the Gard who has been indicted and held in custody since November 2017, has been released and placed under strict judicial control. He is suspected of being involved in the robbery, and is the father of Richard Bruno who was shot by the owner of the Jardin, Daniel Malgouyres. Daniel remains in custody, despite claiming self-defence.

Jean-Pierre Bruno has been released due to his state of health, and his age (78). He remains under investigation for "complicity in attempted theft with weapons" and "participation in a criminal conspiracy to prepare a crime".

Parties have insisted that Daniel Malgouyres was actually the sponsor of the burglary of his own property, which he denies. All his requests for release have so far been denied.

Jean-Pierre Bruno is also a friend of a third man indicted in this case, and who remains in detention. This is Richard Llop, the riding instructor of Françoise Malgouyres, Daniel’s wife.

Police discovered €100,000 euros in his equestrian centre in Aubais, Gard, buried under Ms. Malgouyres’ horse’s stable.

A 7.65 automatic pistol and ammunition were also discovered in the equestrian centre. The investigation continues to try to unravel this complex case.
