Piano recital IN the Canal du Midi

MidiLibre/Scoop, May 21

Since its renovations in 2017, the site of the Fonséranes nine locks at Béziers offers many activities on the Canal du Midi. Shows, concerts, markets and workshops are happening from the beginning of April right through to October.

On Sunday, May 20, at 7pm, the group “La volière aux pianos” transformed the canal into a scene of classical music and jazz. The musicians were pianist Cécile Wouters, a singer, Evelyne Zou Ligeret, and a bass player, Mathieu Gassie, and they were floating on the water.

You can watch the video here.

The piano on the water will be back again at Fonséranes locks on July 6th.
