Plane crashes in Candillargues, no one hurt

An accident occurred at Candillargues, in the Hérault on Sunday. A “passenger plane crashed at the end of the runway at Candillargues aerodrome”. The plane ended up in the l’étang de l’Or, according to Hérault firefighters.

The accident took place shortly after 16:00.

When the rescue team arrived, the pilot, a 72-year-old man, was unhurt, and there were no passengers on board.

The pilot explained to emergency services that the plane had engine trouble, and he was forced to do an emergency landing in Candillargues.
