Protests in Nîmes disguised as a bull

France 3/Scoop, Sep 16

The Montpellier video blogger and activist Remi Gaillard has made animal welfare his main cause for several years.

This weekend, in a very public gesture, he disguised himself as a bull, and laid a wreath of flowers on the famous statue of the matador Nimeno II.

Feria yes, bullfighting no. This is the message that he wanted to convey. According to later tweets from the comedian, his actions "triggered some tension". After laying the flowers, Rémi Gaillard was discreetly escorted to his car by the police.
