Recruitment starts for Hérault summer jobs

France 3/Scoop, Mar 15

Spring is not here yet, but some are already preparing for the summer.

This year, Pôle Emploi is testing a new formula for the summer job recruitment forum, where job seekers will go directly to recruiting companies for on-site interviews.

“When we are in a room with 60 employers but 2000 people, we can not have a real opportunity to have a proper job interview," said Lisa Morlot, Pôle Emploi business advisor.

On Wednesday, recruiters from Sérignan, Villeneuve and Valras hosted job candidates.

In all, in the 3 municipalities, 40 employers participated in the operation: 200 jobs are to be filled this season on the Biterrois coastline.

In the Hérault, 3,600 positions are to be filled this summer, and in Occitanie as a whole, tens of thousands of summer jobs are up for grabs.
